Weekly thingy and progress sort of. (The Queen of Swords/The Marsh Woman)

Definitely not going to get this painted tonight but here’s the black and white at least.

The actual fairy tale for this is, as promised, The Girl Who Trod on a Loaf, but that little budding sociopath is really my background character today. I’m here for the mysterious and powerful Marsh Woman who creates mist and fog in the world above when she’s brewing her beer below.

What’s making me a happy this week:

The overtime period at work was blessedly short and the show looks AMAZING. If you’re in Houston you should definitely check out The Wreckers at Houston Grand Opera – and La Traviata while you’re at it, I am very excited to see Angel Blue die dramatically in that. We’re cool with opera spoilers, right?
