What’s making me happy/sad/guilty/worried this week:

It looks like all of my Houston people are safe and secure, even if most of them are dealing with massive issues thanks to that little INSANE FUCKING STORM we had. Had y’all heard of a derecho before? Because I had NOT. This is a terrible place and time of year to be without power and I’m feeling pretty guilty that I’m in an unaffected area but don’t really have space to take in guests for long. If you’re in Houston and suffering, I’m so sorry – it’s so surreal seeing posts from everyone in dire straits and happening to be on a side of town that was practically untouched where groceries and AC abound.
