Weeklyish thingy and MY cat!

Ah, the joy of a quick satisfying painting of a cat I know and can look at from any angle I want. The last time we went to the vet, Mooch decided the best hiding place was in the shelves, masquerading as another display item, so clearly I had to paint my little goth baby posing with the cross-section head.

What’s making me happy this week:

‘Intelligence’ is getting close to opening at Houston Grand Opera, and a. soon I will not be working all this overtime, wheeeeeeeeee! and b. it is going to be SO GREAT. Ok, so I haven’t actually seen the show at all yet, but Carlos Soto & Clair Hummel’s costumes look AMAZING, the cast is stellar, and having watched as much as I could online of the Urban Bush Women dancing, I am SO excited to see an opera built to incorporate their work and directed and choreographed by Jawole Willa Zollar.
