Weeklyish thingy and a pride kitty!

I only finished this late tonight, so you’re seeing it without my usual scanning and cropping, but I should be getting it up on Redbubble and Teepublic sometime this week. This kitty’s parents are queer but not lesbians, and I originally thought I was going to reflect one of the flags they identify with in the background, but since this one was me asking if I could paint from their photo for my own devices rather than a commissioned portrait I could really do whatever I wanted with it and his glorious marmalade floof is just so PRETTY on the lesbian flag.

What’s making me happy this week:

I just got compression socks for the first time because I have a trip with my mom coming up that’s going to involve a TON of standing around in museums, and after decades of not even being able to wear regualr tall socks because I have always had big calves and I can’t deal with the feeling of them biting in, I am shocked to find that actual properly sized knee high compression socks don’t dig at all! We’ll see if I still love them after wearing them for a full day instead of a few hours, but even shorter term wearing would probably be helpful. Also they’re stripy, so they look like I’m wearing adorable Amy Brown fairy-type kneesocks of the kind I always wanted and could never fit instead of grandma socks.
