Weekly thingy and letttttttering.

Progress! The basic lettering is done; now I’m going back around it with perle cotton to add a heavier border plus some extra lines on a few letters like on the w.

Also finished the wall paneling and I am CHAMPING at the bit to do the black work pattern I drew up for the wallpaper – but I will finish this lettering first.

What’s making me happy this week:

This is a dumb little thing but I was at a Chinese restaurant with my mom and her choir friends the other night and noticed that they had a gumball machine and a high-bounce ball one in my way in, ooooh tempting. So on the way out I found a quarter in my purse and the satisfying nostalgia of putting the quarter in the slot and clunking the lever around and getting a bouncy ball was a DELIGHT. (Mooch doesn’t get it because he is baby.)
