What’s making me happy this week:

I went to the big Kamala Harris rally in Houston on Friday afternoon! Honestly it was a nightmare in many logistical ways and left me pretty wrecked all day yesterday, and between the heat getting to me and the stadium RUNNING OUT OF FOOD wtf stadium I had to go home early and missed out on hearing Beyoncé and Kamala speak.

BUT. I got to be part of the huge crowd coming together in hope and determination, and I got to hear a lot of other speakers and Willie Nelson play, and I also came home with a fun light up bracelet and a couple more campaign pins so we’ll call it a net win. Mostly I don’t have to feel like I could have gone and didn’t bother, and if I ever go to one of these stadium size events again I know how to plan for it next time.
