Weekly thingy and yay, I don’t have to water embroidered plants.

I am a HOPELESS plant killer, y’all. Truly, no one give me a plant ever, you’re just outsourcing its murder to me. The lovely ladies at work gave me a little leafy potted plant after my gall bladder surgery and I swear I did my best but it was inches from death when I brought it back out to a windowsill in the workroom and said ‘anyone who wants this and thinks they can save it, please free it from me’. It’s still on that windowsill being cared for by people who aren’t me and it’s gone from one wilted leaf to multiple shoots with big healthy glossy leaves so yay for it, no more plants for me please.

Luckily you can’t really over or under water embroidered plants so these cacti and candelilla are doing quite nicely. I overdyed a variegated thread for the candelilla to get it as dark as I wanted – everything is darker than in real life on purpose.

What’s making me happy this week:

I got a plush yesterday for a friend’s Chanukah present (can’t give specifics yet) and in the hours that it was in my home since then I have found it necessary to stop and hug it every time I walk anywhere near it, so today I went back and got one for me and now it is one the couch with me just being cuddled endlessly.
