Weekly thingy and pattttttterrrnnnnnns

As I mentioned a few days ago, I’m revisiting the idea behind my knitten drawing for ‘Daydreams and Whimsies’ in an expanded version that’s also going to serve as a study for my next embroidery project.

There’s still coloring to do and decisions to make, but this is getting to where I think you can see the plan. I’m working on the tan toned paper I picked up on a whim over the summer, and it’s pretty definitely not meant for this kind of all over coloring, but I’m enjoying how it ties everything together with a base tone. I was exposed to Matisse and Rosetti far too young and imprinted, obviously.

What’s making me happy this week:

I got my bedroom and bathroom really quite tidy (by my standards) today because I’ve got electricians coming in Tuesday and nothing motivates me like fear of judgement. Speaking of, I’m about to drop six grand on electrical work so if you’ve been thinking about buying some art from one of the links above now would be a GREAT time, thanks! But no pressure really – I’ve got a manageable payment plan set up and there are definitely more urgent places to put your spare cash right now if you have it – the fires in California are absolutely terrifying and I can’t wrap my head around that level of loss at all. If you can help, ideally via local groups rather than the Red Cross, please do.
