Embroidery and yarn and kitties, oh my.

I’m going back in to beef up the toy mousie a bit and go back over the legs of the purple bowl with the metallic thread I’ve been saving for that. After that, my list is:

Put in the stained glass window where the curtains are open with needle lace.

Add fringe to the curtain bottoms and final tassels to the tie backs.

Add the hanging toys to the cat tree.

I think that’s everything still pending on this piece but as always I am an unpredictable flibbertigibbet so stay tuned!

What’s making me happy this week:

Mooch is having dental work on the 9th (that is NOT the part making me happy obviously) but having two weeks to prep means that I have once again attempted to introduce wet food and this time for no good reason I can think of it’s actually kind of working? Like he’s not devouring it but he is excited for the first nibbles and does gradually eat most of the small portion I give him. That’s making me a lot more hopeful that after the dentistry when he doesn’t have his beloved cronchies as an option he will actually fucking EAT and not try to kill me with anxiety.

Magical Sparkle Muffin also told me about this high calorie & electrolyte paste I can add to his food temporarily if he’s not eating much so I am happy to have that option in my back pocket and I’m sure if I don’t need to use it one of Houston’s rescue orgs will be happy to have it.

Send good wishes for Mooch to either stop trying to reabsorb his own teeth or get a damn job to pay for his dental work please! Or, y’know, go buy something from one of the links up there if you’d like to help subsidize his expensive resorption habits.
