What’s making me happy this week:

I got to see the final dress of Porgy & Bess at HGO this past Tuesday, and it is SPECTACULAR. If you’re in or near Houston get to this show, the cast is stellar. Ever since casting was announced I’ve been looking forward to seeing our studio member, Demetrious Sampson, as Sportin’ Life, and he is outstanding – I hope this is the start of huge things for his career.

I obviously also was blown away by the whole cast – this is my second time seeing Angel Blue perform live and the depth she brings to Bess is gorgeous. But there is something extra exciting about watching a performer right at the start of their career absolutely smash a role, and I’m really excited to also see Demetrious play Lenny in Of Mice and Men later this season.
