Where will I get a grilled cheese with a side of fried rice now?

This won’t mean much if you’re not from Houston, or possibly even specifically from the Montrose area, but Lucky Burger has been defeated by a greedy landlord who forced them out so that they can sell their space to, I don’t know, another Chipotle or Five Guys or something.  I’m not anti either of those chains, but Lucky Burger was exactly the kind of quirky, delightful, affordable small business that makes Houston so great, and it sucks to see it disappear.  I remember that big blue root beer barrel building from when I was a kid, tagging along to my mom’s classes at the Art League or WASH, and I’m going to miss it.
