The weekly thingy and a Fool’s Journey.
Hey gang, want to see the start of a tarot card?
I wasn’t actually planning to use prints for these but I was digging in my stash for a white basic cotton and this aqua polka dot leapt out at me and demanded to be the Fool’s background so I guess at least some of these will be on prints?
Anyhow. The plan is a semi-traditional Fool card – she’s going to be almost at the edge of a cliff, but not looking because she’s holding her crocheted lace up to the light to look through it, while the yarn wraps around her legs twice and the skein has tumbled down to be attacked by her cat.
I also wasn’t originally planning for the illustrations to be about fiber art but I think that’s also happening; I already have fun ideas for the Magician, and I’ve been thinking about making the suits scissors for swords, knitting needles for staves, buttons or maybe pincushions for pentacles, and spools or woven baskets for cups.

What’s making me happy this week:
I got to hang out at MSM’s Haus with the fam and then we all went to see Wicker, which I will pretty definitely need to buy on DVD and will definitely definitely be yapping about to everyone in my vicinity for the foreseeable future! And hanging out at the Haus also means I got to cuddle the sweetest pitbull ever and use her as a pillow, and then today I helped my parents put together their new scratcher lounge chair for the kitties and was rewarded with Wanda Maximoff, chaos witch, being adorable in it.
