The Neurotic Owlphabet, part one

I swear these aren’t all about insects.  In fact, I don’t think I have any more bugs in the pile yet, although I’m stuck on N at the moment, so that could change.  By the way, anyone have a good Z idea?  I have X, X is fine, but Z. . .

Anyway, this was obviously inspired by one of my very favorite books, Gorey’s The Gashleycrumb Tinies, but I think I’ve ended up with (am ending up with) something entirely different.  Honestly, other than the fact that I used rhyming couplets and some adult content (not really sex-adult, fucked up in the head adult), there’s not a ton of similarity left – especially since couplets tend to be part of the alphabet book form.

Did I ever mention that children’s illustrator was high on my list of dream careers?  I think we can see why that might not have worked out.

Aaaanyway, I’ll probably toss these up in twos because rhyming, though I may let certain ones stand alone.  As always, you are subject to my whims.  Mwah-ha-ha.
