If you’re younger than I am, it’s possible you won’t know what this cartoon is about and will think something truly horrible, or at least deeply kinky, is going on.  It’s ok, little one.  It’s just this:

Strangely, I’m not sure that makes it better.

Also, when these commercials were on regularly, my family only had a black and white TV, so I didn’t know his glasses were blue till I looked for a quick reference image, expecting 70s colours.   In my memory these commercials had flowers and were very orange and brown, but I clearly imagined that.
