Weekly thingy and The Wheel, no really/Sleeping Beauty
The next card will be much less of a process to get to, I swear.
But ta-da! This almost doesn’t need any extra talking about – pretty much everybody knows Sleeping Beauty. Fairy curses baby to prick her finger on a spindle and die on her 16th b-day, other fairy tries to fix it and just swaps out death for 100 years of sleep to be ended by some less than consensual kissing, family gets rid of every spindle in the land and (in some versions) hides the baby elsewhere while she grows up, and in the end it all goes down regardless. Boom, inescapable fate.
Also, as someone who doesn’t love drawing architecture or machinery and whatnot a spinning wheel is a LOT, I’m glad that’s done.

What’s making me happy this week:
- I got my new scanner YASSSSSSSSSSSSS! It’s not wireless, but it’s big enough to scan my preferred 10×12 drawing pad, it has great resolution, and it captures color accurately – even the very lights and very darks. If someone else is looking for a reliable art scanner for a reasonable price, it’s the Epson Perfection V600 and I am well pleased with it for $229. I am not being paid by anyone to advertise scanners but if someone would like to pay me for such or really whatever they should feel free.
- Anyway now all of my questionable art scans are replaced with new better ones and all of the current cards are up on Redbubble and Etsy, or on my Pinterest page if you just want to see the better reproductions without shopping for anything.
