6 cups! 12 princesses! No more than 24 arms (actually less because not everyone’s arms are visible but definitely NO MORE.
I showed several people this drawing at various stages of completion, including posting it here last week after the mistake had already happened, and neither I nor anyone else noticed that I GAVE THE PRINCESS HOLDING THE JUG AND CUP AND HER SISTER’S HAND THREE GODDAMN ARMS.
I had already inked and painted most of the skin tones before I spotted it. Sigh.
Anyway if you’re wondering why there’s a weird stand in use, holding the cup up off the table at the necessary height, that’s because I picked holding hands with her sister as the more important action and painted over the cup hand.
Places to buy stuff!
Did I miss something? I think that’s everything.
What’s making me happy this week:
I got to see a small group of friends yesterday and oh man did we all need it really badly! Hopefully we can make hangouts happen a little more often, it’s such a fucking treat to just sit around with friends not on a Zoom call or in a text chat.
Good problem solving! Also makes for an excellent focal point–I like the mirror/pitcher/cup triangle. That’s a nice happy accident, there.
I’d like to think I would have told you (I am that friend who warns of spinach in the teeth) if I’d seen it, but it was so invisible that, even with your map, I had a hard time finding it. In high school, my daughter used to try to introduce invisible impossibilities into her artwork. The extra arm is right up her alley.
