Weekly thingy and the Queen of Cups/The Goblin Market
As I mentioned last week, we’re back to The Goblin Market, but this time near the end, when Lizzie returns from braving the danger dripping in faery fruit juice to save her. . . um, sister, right, totally sisters.
I’ve definitely already quoted this once but I mean:
“She cried, “Laura,” up the garden,
“Did you miss me?
Come and kiss me.
Never mind my bruises,
Hug me, kiss me, suck my juices
Squeez’d from goblin fruits for you,
Goblin pulp and goblin dew.
Eat me, drink me, love me;
Laura, make much of me;
For your sake I have braved the glen
And had to do with goblin merchant men.”
Anyhow this is absolutely one of my favorites I’ve done in a while and I hope I get an idea half as good for the King of Cups, I am slightly stumped at the moment.
