Neurotic Owl

flying through clouds of uncertainty on wings of existential dread

Today we impersonate taxidermy and things that aren’t towels.

Since I’ve had cosplay on the brain lately, and since there was a super-awesome Bloggess cosplayer at Dragon*con this year, and since this was bound to happen sooner or later regardless, behold!  Their new favorite costumes!

no197mpo29I really should do Food Truck Hedgehog as James Garfield, just to round this out.  If you don’t know the story of Beyonce the giant metal chicken and Juanita weasel, you have been living under an internetless rock and I have no idea how you found my tiny blog.  Still, you can revisit those stories here and here.

You get two cartoons today partially because they’re obviously a set, and partially because I will probably not be posting tomorrow, what with it being Yom Kippur and all.  I don’t actually fast anymore, because, as mentioned yesterday, me without food is a terrible plan and I think it’s more important that I be in synagogue and fed than sick at home or sobbing in the corner because I’ve gotten all hypoglecemish.  Still, it’s a long day in shul, and there’s no telling how late I’ll get home after the community break-fast, so I’ll see you Sunday.  Have a fun Saturday, non-Jews, and a good Day of Atonement, fellow Yids!

I must have been living under an Internetless rock!! The chicken story was fantastic!

    And, speaking of souffle:

(not sure how well that will post; but at least it has embedded copyright attribution!).

My favorite Yom Kippur tweet is so far from one of my friends in marketing:

    from:

@briguyblock If I’ve offended you this year, I hope to make it up to you in the next and do right by you. Also, you’re too sensitive.

Might be formatter properly here – if not you may delete the gibberish code!
