In which I resume an old project and also a life.
Overtime is OVER, huzzah! I’m pretty sure I’m back to regular hours for the rest of the season because I bet the labor budget was blown ALL to hell in the last two reps.
So, now that I’m not destroying my hands with constant hat work, back to my normal bullshit. The stitchalong has me jonesing for embroidery again, so I’m picking this back up after a very long period of neglect. I can’t recall whether I showed it to y’all back when or not? I mean, you’ve seen the base artwork, it’s from my second coloring book, but I’m not sure you’ve seen the start of this version. I printed it on inkjet fabric and I’m now gradually embroidering over the drawing. After I’ve done everything that involves satin stitch or outlines I’ll be laying Aida behind it so that I can more easily do black work (but in white on white) in all of the big blank areas, and luckily that stitchalong is getting me more comfortable with the idea of doing blackwork without worrying about the back and designing my own fills.
