I totally knew this one was going to be a cups card, though I wasn’t sure which till I hit four and the general meaning seemed about right.
We’re back to the older Cinderella again – when she first asks her stepmother if she can please go to the ball, the stepmother throws a pile of peas and lentils and grains on the hearth and tells her she can go after she sorts all of them out into separate containers. That should take all night, but Cinderella’s dead mother sends tiny birds to pick through the grains for her, separating everything perfectly in a few minutes.
Btw, I have NO idea why I kept the Little Mermaid and Beauty as the same models, but I’ve recast Cinderella three times now. I could do the grad school thing and come up with complicated explanations about the different versions of the story but nope, purely whim.
Had a lovely Zoom hangout with one set of friends and the rare and coveted in person hang with another, so this has been a nice week aside from the whole world on fire thing. But fuck it, there’s a limit to what I can do about the world, especially in terms of Covid, and I already mask and distance and I got my booster, so I will totally take a low key day of watching dumb Christmas rom-coms with a buddy.
