flying through clouds of uncertainty on wings of existential dread
Ok, I’m back with a finished card and I know it was a wait but I do really like this one a lot.
Someone who’s busy being upset over what they no longer have and doesn’t see past it to what they still possess seemed PERFECT for Snow White’s stepmother.
It was nice having room to spread out a bit on this one, I forget if I’ve told you guys what size the originals are? So I’m working in a 9.5″x5.5″ frame – twice as big as a standard tarot card, so there’s room to get detail in without going crazy, but small enough to fit easily on a scanner and not become so busy when it’s shrunk that you lose information. It’s a pretty comfortable working size for me, but when I’m fitting a lot of bodies or whatnot in the frame it can get awfully small – one of the reasons the twelve dancing princesses haven’t popped up yet.
Places to buy stuff!
Did I miss something? I think that’s everything.
What’s making me happy this week:
I’m getting pretty close to the end of my very first colorwork knitting project (that was fast!) so I’ll probably show y’all that pretty soon.
This might be my favorite.
