Viiiiiiiiiiiinessssssssss. *shakes out wrist*
Also after trying a whole bitchload of different metallic paints over the years I can report back that Folk Art Treasure Gold metallic acrylic yields a true shiny metallic looking gold. I wasn’t sure about dropping $15 for a 4 oz bottle that might turn out to be another disappointment, but nope, it looked amazing wet and only got better dry. It’s deeply stupid how much I love using metallics since most of my work gets sold through POD services where it won’t be shiny, but what can I say, I’m a magpie. This one at least photographs as a textured rich gold unlike a lot of things I’ve tried before. The darker shading is partially a layer of black marker beneath the paint, and partially small amounts of Folk Art color shift Black Flash used very very sparingly.

Places to buy stuff!
Did I miss something? I think that’s everything.

What’s making me happy this week:
Another long weekend, woohoo! And I’ve finished up a whole bunch of gifts for people so now they just need to get over the plague that has been infesting their household (one of them’s a teacher, it’s kind of inevitable) so they can receive said gifts!
I definitely understand the need for More Shiny. I am loving all of your kitties.
Thank you! I hope no one is getting sick of them, I’m definitely still in kitty painting brainspace!
