flying through clouds of uncertainty on wings of existential dread
A couple of things – I know this one’s very simple compared to what I’ve been doing lately. I did play with working in Aunt Beast, and the centaur-like creatures, and a bunch of other stuff, but I kept coming back to just Meg and Mrs. Who’s glasses. Also, as far as time period, while the book was published in the early sixties, the entire timeline comes closest to adding up if you assume it’s set about ten years later, so that’s where I went with Meg’s clothes. I also wanted her in jeans and couldn’t see that working any earlier, historically, since I assume she’s still wearing her school clothes when they leave. The only description we’re given is that she’s wearing a blouse, and that it has at least one pocket large enough to hold her glasse, so.
