In which I feel guilty for no reason.
It’s been suggested more than once that I start a Patreon, but the thought of coming up with special patron-only posts ON TOP of regular posts was daunting, to say the least. But you know what I miss? Drawing fun little cartoons. You know what I haven’t had many ideas for lately? Fun little cartoons.
So this is the part where you both pay me and come up with ideas for me: for $1/month or more, whatever you like, you get to tell me what character you want and what they should be doing. I’ll try my best to make that happen, then post the results on the blog with a thank you to you. There are higher tiers where I send you the original drawing, or the original plus some other semi-randomly chosen originals from the archives. (The archives is what I call the tin lunchbox where some 500+ cartoons are currently stored.) If you have a reasonable idea for a continuing reward, let me know and I’ll see if it’s doable.
Look, the main idea is that if you like this thing I do and want to support it, but not enough to go buy stuff on Redbubble or Amazon or Teepublic or Etsy, you can do that thing. The cartoons are a thank you, not a purchase; I wouldn’t sell you an original drawing for $1 a month or $20/month, for completely opposite reasons.

I know Patreon is a THING but I’m not entirely sure how it works. And I’m a little skeered to go find out because I’m a big fat chicken who’s often afraid to step out of her bubble into the great unknown.
