The weekly thingy and teensy things again.

Wheeee sorry it’s been a minute – I’ve been doing a little cross stitch rug for my Barbies that I started while Mom and I sat in Reagan Airport for an extra five hours waiting for President Fuckface to finish his lil helicopter tour so we could fly home.

I am very much making up the pattern as I go along, but I am tracking it in an Excel doc so I can make a pattern at the end to list on my Etsy store in case anyone else wants it.

Also! I couldn’t show y’all this till the parents had received it since it was a surprise baby gift but I did a wee lil baby painting on the trip.

I had a mini watercolor set a friend gave me a while back and a bunch of those brushes you fill with water for travel painting, and I was frankly amazed how delicate and precise I could get with those tools. I definitely see more tiny travel painting in my future.

And also also! Part of my failure to post for a couple of weeks was probably because I’ve been feeling a little rudderless in my plans to make tiny realistic hollow pointe shoes to hang from the top edge of the Red Shoes piece. But I finally leapt in this weekend and while there’s a bunch of refining and finishing to do I am pleased with these so far:

What’s making me happy this week:

Finally getting those pointe shoes started is high on the list, but also I took Mooch for his yearly checkup and his teeth looked good this year, huzzah! I am so glad not to be finding money for more kitty dental work or trying to coax Mooch to eat while he heals afterwards.

The vet tech also burritoed him up like a lil baby for his bloodwork and when she came back with him he was still swaddled but being carried upright in her arms and he looked just like ET. No pic because he was obviously not a happy baby but I will put a little video of him exploring the vet office up on the neurotic owl Facebook page and my mastodon.
